Happy holidays and thank you for embarking on the Candy Cane Gridwide Hunt! Why candy canes, you ask? Well, no matter what your religion, no matter what part of the world you're in or in whom you believe; one thing stands true. Everybody loves a candy cane!

In the spirit of this festive month, our vendors have put together some most wonderous gifts just for you! If thier creations please you, kindly remember to repay their hard work in the best and easiest way you can; by revisiting their shops and by bringing a friend or two!

First off, lets get the rules out of the way.

1. Please do not disclose the location of the hunt item openly. If someone needs help or if you're in a group, kindly use private IM or friends conference, never local chat.

2. If you need help, it is available via the hint blog and in the group chat for "Candy Cane Hunt." The group is open for hunters if the hunt is active. If you have a real issue, notecard an organizer. NEVER contact the store owner!!

Hunters: Snowflake Gridwide Hunt
November 21st - January 9th

The Rules:

1. You will be hunting down hidden Snowflakes.

2. Don't harrass the store owners or their employees! We've seen this in enough hunts already, do it here...we'll find out, and you'll possibly take a flight via someone's banning boot.

3. Low prim it! Don't walk around with an over 2,000 ARC! Put on a simple pair of jeans and a shirt, and leave the excess hair jewelry, and shoes in your inventory! You'd be surprised how quickly things could load if everyone low primmed. Being bald and plain for the hunt won't kill you, I promise.

4. Lastly, just have fun. Drag some friends with you and make a day or two of it.

❊❋The Great Turkey Treasure Hunt 2009❈❉

In November the US celebrates Thanksgiving. I know that some of you do not celebrate this hence the name Turkey Hunt insead of Thanksgiving hunt.

Starting in November this is be a new grid wide treasure hunt on November 1st! Many shop owners all over SL have given up their time and has supplied the hunt with free gifts :) Each turkey is hidden in their shop and you will have to find them all!

Start at the LM below and when you find the turkey buy it for L$0. Then the next land mark will be in that folder. When you get to the end of the hunt your inventory will be stuffed with great gifts, something to be thankful for even if you do not celebrate Thanksgiving.

Guidelines:
1. Please remember that the shop owners are giving their time and items freely. So if you don't like the prize, delete it and move on. Do not be rude or whine to myself or the shop owners. Remember to respect others.

2. Exchange hints and help others, but do not give exact locations. Please do not cheat it is not fair to others and to the shop owners that put the hard work into this for you.

3. Be nice and play fair, also I can not stress enough be respectful of others.

4. Most important of all - HAVE FUN! It's what hunts are all about ㋡

5. If you have any trouble or questions send me a note card, or join one of the hunt groups out there.

Welcome to the Shining Stars Gridwide Hunt!
The hunt begins November 1st - November 30th

The theme of this hunt is Stars. Cannot wait to see what all of our talented vendors will have to offer.

Below is the landmark to the starting point. The Hunt will also be full circle, meaning the last Star will take you back to the first, in the event that you may have started in the middle.

Please join the hunters group, this will allow the hunters to help each other with hints and to discuss the hunt. We ask that you DO NOT give out exact locations of hunt items. It will not be tolerated in the group. Remeber it is a hunt. So please when you land take a minute to rez ur surroundings and take a few minutes to HUNT for your item. If then you are having a hard time, please chat amongst each other or check out the blog for official store hints to help you along the way.

As you know most hunts are 95% of time oriented towards women so the objective of
MHO hunt is to get men involved in the hunt while exposing them to quality stores that they
many not be familiar with.

Great way to get free items and discover stores you never been to.

>>>>>>>>> HOW DOES IT WORK?

As with most hunts once a starting location has been set you will be provided with LM and
the next location in the hunt once you claim your first gift. For example, store #1 will give
landmark to store #2, store #2 will give landmark to store #3, and so on... until it finishes.

Gift will be hidden somewhere in the store and you will be looking for orange male symbol.
Designers will have a choice to use items that are currently sold at their store
or create exclusive items that will only be available for the duration of the hunt. They
also have an option to provide you with store cards.

This hunt is also circular, so when you get to the end, the last landmark will direct
you to first location. This means even if you start the hunt in a middle you will still get to
visit and discover all participating stores.

Only high quality designers will be invited to participate as we are planning to keep
number of stores around 150 so to enusure everyone gains exposure as we know
men tend to give up half way if shopping expedition tends to go forever.

Falling Leaves Grid Wide Treasure Hunt 2009

As summer turns to fall (or autumn depending on where you are in the world) and the days start to get shorter, it's easy to get gloomy and bored.

And so we're starting this great new grid wide treasure hunt on November 1st! Many wonderful shop owners from all over Second Life have joined together to give you fantastic prizes, each carefully hidden somewhere in their shop..... all YOU have to do is find them!

Start at the starting point (LM below) and inside each prize folder is the LM to the next shop that's got a fabulous prize hidden just waiting for you to find it. Along the way you'll make new friends, find wonderful new places you've never seen before and be warned - your inventory will be stuffed full of goodies for free!

Here's a few guidelines for our hunters - we hate rules - but sometimes we need to gently point things out.

1) All of our shop keepers are giving their time and prizes freely - amazingly generous of them. If you don't like their prize please don't be so rude as to whine - just delete the prize and move on.

2) By all means exchange hints and help others - but don't give exact locations or (even worse) shout the locations out when you find the prize. That's considered cheating!

3) Be nice - play fair. Goes without saying really :)

4) Most important of all - HAVE FUN! It's what hunts are all about :)
